CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -&#thirteen;

A Water High quality Advisory issued for 2 ponds at a southeast Charlotte park following a sewage spill Friday has been lifted.

In line with a spokesperson with Mecklenburg County, a personal facility discharged sewage which entered a small stream that flows into two ponds at McAlpine Creek Park on Monroe Street on August 25.

The county stated Thursday that “mandatory repairs” to cease the discharge have been accomplished.

“Water samples collected within the cove by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Providers’ employees reveal that micro organism counts are inside protected limits,” officers stated.
