Teen injured in pedestrian-vehicle crash near Red River High


The accident occured at a crosswalk within the 2200 block of twentieth Avenue South at three:08 p.m. Wednesday, based on the Grand Forks Police Division. The pedestrian slipped on icy pavement within the crosswalk, and the 17-yr-previous driver of a 1999 Land Rover Discovery was unable to cease in time.

The pedestrian was transported to Altru Hospital by way of ambulance. The extent of accidents was not instantly clear.

Lt. Invoice Macki stated the accident was affected by each icy street circumstances and poor visibility resulting from snow piles and urged motorists to take additional time and warning on metropolis streets.

No citations have been issued within the crash, police stated. Officers are persevering with to research the incident.

Macki stated he couldn’t affirm if the events concerned have been college students at Purple River Excessive Faculty. Faculty officers couldn’t instantly be reached Wednesday.
