SWAT called out to report of male firing shots out of East Anchorage home

A person was firing photographs out of the home windows of his home in East Anchorage on Tuesday night, police stated, urging drivers and pedestrians to keep away from the world.

Anchorage police responded to a male firing photographs from the home windows of a house within the 1700 block of Russian Jack Drive, north of Reka Drive, at 5:39 p.m. Tuesday, spokeswoman Renee Oistad wrote in an alert.

No accidents have been reported, and officers have been unable to speak to the suspect to date, Oistad wrote.

Police consider, however haven’t confirmed, that the person was in the home alone, Oistad wrote. SWAT members have been referred to as out to the scene and officers try to acquire a search warrant, Oistad wrote.
