Stetson football player dies after collapsing during practice

“(Blakely) was on the sidelines shortly after follow started … when he complained of not feeling properly and collapsed,” Stetson president Wendy B. Libby stated in a press release.

Blakely, who was an accounting main on the NCAA Division I central Florida College, was taken to Florida Hospital DeLand outdoors of Orlando, the place he died.

Stetson coach Roger Hughes advised his gamers of Blakely’s passing, with counselors available to assist the staff cope with its loss.

Blakely, who redshirted final season, had but to play in a university soccer recreation. The staff was getting ready for its season opener at Sacred Coronary heart College on Saturday.
