Shots fired lead to standoff in Columbia County


HILLSDALE, N.Y. (NEWS10) – At roughly 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night time, a 911 name got here in from a house alongside Route 22 in Hillsdale.

As troopers and sheriffs have been looking for the home, a lady got here operating out into the road alerting officers to the situation.

A sheriff’s deputy pulled up in entrance of the house, a person got here out the entrance door and fired a gun. It’s not clear if it was fired into the air or in the direction of the deputy’s cruiser.

The person then ran again into the home, making a standoff state of affairs and eventually round three:00 a.m. on Wednesday he was taken into custody

Each NYS Police and Columbia County Sheriffs have been on scene.
