Rowan County trio charged in robbery, kidnapping of undercover officer


SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) -&#thirteen;

Three Rowan County males are charged within the armed theft and kidnapping of an undercover officer. 

Tyrese Jamale Stiller, 18, Donald Tiberio Armstrong, 36, and John Michael Sheehan, 36, are accused of robbing and kidnapping an officer Tuesday throughout an undercover drug transaction. 

The narcotics buy was organized with the suspects in a quick meals restaurant parking zone on East Innes Road. When the undercover officer obtained into the suspect car, the officer was robbed at gunpoint by one of many three suspects with a stolen handgun, deputies say.

The suspects stole the officer’s .9 millimeter Glock and $1,561 in money, in line with deputies. The suspects then tried to drive off with the officer however have been stopped by surveillance groups and arrested. 

Armstrong was charged with possession of a firearm by felon, conspiracy to commit the felony of kidnapping, possession of a stolen firearm, first-diploma kidnapping, conspiracy to commit the felony of theft with a harmful weapon and theft with a harmful weapon. 

Stiller was charged with conspiracy to commit the felony of kidnapping, possession of a stolen firearm, first-diploma kidnapping, possession with intent to promote/ship cocaine, conspiracy to commit the felony of theft with a harmful weapon and theft with a harmful weapon. 

Sheehan was charged with conspiracy to commit the felony of kidnapping, first-diploma kidnapping, conspiracy to commit the felony of theft with a harmful weapon, and theft with a harmful weapon. 

Armstrong and Stiller every acquired a $250,000 bond. Sheena was positioned beneath a $one hundred fifty,000 secured bond. 

The officer was not harm.

All three suspects have a legal historical past.
