The Richardson Freeway reopened Thursday night after crews cleared an avalanche that had blocked the one street to Valdez earlier this week.
At 5:30 p.m., the street was open from Mile 12 to Mile fifty five, which had been blocked off after a 200-foot-lengthy avalanche coated a piece of the street, in accordance with the Alaska Division of Transportation and Public Amenities.
