A police officer driving in East Anchorage hit and injured a minor Friday afternoon, officers stated.
At three:05 p.m., police and emergency responders received a name a few pedestrian accident at Boniface Parkway and DeBarr Street.
An on-obligation police officer was heading southbound on Boniface in the proper lane, police stated in an alert.
A juvenile was within the median with an unleashed canine, police stated.
“The canine and juvenile bumped into oncoming visitors and the juvenile was struck by the officer,” the assertion stated.
The juvenile was taken to a hospital with “critical however non-life threatening accidents,” the assertion stated.
The southbound lanes of Boniface Parkway, south of DeBarr, remained closed at four:30 p.m. Friday, polices spokeswoman Nora Morse wrote in an e-mail.
