JOHNSTON, Iowa (AP) — Police have arrested a suburban Des Moines mom who left her 4 youngsters residence alone whereas she traveled to Europe.
Johnston police say they’ve charged 30-yr-previous Erin Macke with baby endangerment. Polk County Jail data say Macke stays in custody Friday. Courtroom data don’t listing the identify of an lawyer who can remark for her.
Police say Macke made no youngster care preparations for her youngsters — ages 12, 12, 7 and 6 — earlier than she left Sept. 20. Police have been tipped off Sept. 21 that the youngsters had been left unsupervised. Officers investigated and referred to as within the Iowa Human Providers Division, which took custody of them.
Police referred to as Macke in Germany, demanding she come again. She was arrested on her return.
