Officers stop deer on California bridge for 'toll evasion'

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) – California freeway officers say they stopped a younger deer on a California toll bridge “for toll evasion.”

A photograph revealed Tuesday by the California Freeway Patrol exhibits the doe on the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge standing in the midst of an on-ramp with a deer-in-the-headlights look.

The officer joked in a Twitter submit that the fawn often pays the toll however “immediately she was a buck brief.”

CHP Officer Matthew Hamer says two officers have been on patrol on the bridge early Tuesday when the deer got here out of the woods on Treasure Island and walked in entrance of their automotive.

He says after watching them for a few minutes – lengthy sufficient for the officers to snap a photograph – the deer went again into the woods.
