NYSP: Herkimer man charged with DWI after driving pickup into Schoharie house

SCHOHARIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) – New York State Police arrested a Herkimer man after they are saying he crashed his automotive right into a home on Barton Hill Street within the City of Schoharie Saturday night time whereas driving drunk.

State Police say Timothy Sims, fifty four, was driving west on Barton Hill Street round eleven:35 p.m. Saturday when his pickup truck left the street. Sims’ truck hit a tree and two lawnmowers earlier than operating into the home at 381 Barton Hill Street.

Sims was arrested on the scene and arraigned on DWI and felony mischief fees.

Police say nobody was injured within the incident, however because of the injury to the house, the residents have been faraway from the house. The American Purple Cross says it’s offering help to 4 adults and one youngster after the accident.
