Greater than 2.1 million clients have misplaced energy in Florida with Hurricane Irma putting the state.
Florida Energy & Mild reported the numbers Sunday afternoon. The utility, which providers a lot of south Florida, says greater than 845,000 of these clients are in Miami-Dade County.
Duke Power, the dominant utility within the northern half of Florida, has about thirteen,000 outages with the outer bands of Irma sweeping throughout the area.
The facility corporations say they’ve additional crews available to attempt to restore energy — when it turns into protected to take action.
FPL spokesman Rob Gould says an estimated three.four million houses and companies will lose energy as soon as the worst of Irma reaches the Florida mainland.
