More than 1 million Floridians lose power due to Hurricane Irma

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Florida utility officers say greater than 1 million clients have misplaced energy as Hurricane Irma hits the state.

Florida Energy & Mild Firm stated that almost 1.1 million clients statewide have been with out energy Sunday morning.

About 574,000 of these outages have been in Miami-Dade County, whereas there have been 360,000 in Broward and almost 136,000 in Palm Seashore County.

The huge storm made landfall within the Florida Keys, and its middle was forecast to maneuver up the state’s Gulf Coast. However the results are being felt removed from the middle due to Irma’s measurement.
