Missing 115-year-old tortoise returned to New Mexico owner


ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) – A one hundred fifteen-yr-previous desert tortoise that disappeared from its backyard at a New Mexico senior dwelling group was returned.

The Albuquerque Journal studies (http://bit.ly/2w9xGQb ) the tortoise, Diablo, was returned Friday to Manzano del Sol Village. He had ventured to the yard of a close-by residence after a household purchased the shell-sporting wanderer from youngsters at an area park.

Millie Tjeltweed, who owns Diablo, says she does not know the circumstances of the tortoise’s disappearance.

Tjeltweed says the household that bought Diablo referred to as the senior dwelling group after seeing a information report on the tortoise’s disappearance. Tjeltweed and a few directors from the power went over to the house, and Tjeltweed was capable of confirm that it was her pet of 35 years.
