Marvin grabs 4th place in 50K race in Utah

Palmer mountain runner Christy Marvin claimed fourth place amongst ladies and sixteenth place general Saturday in Utah’s Speedgoat 50K, a race within the mountains surrounding Snowbird ski space.

Marvin, a two-time winner of Alaska’s well-known Mount Marathon race, accomplished the 31-mile race in 6 hours, fifty five minutes, 25 seconds. The course was held on technical terrain with a complete elevation achieve of almost eleven,000 ft.

Jim Walmsley of Flagstaff, Arizona, claimed the general victory in 5:04:fifty five. Anna Mae Flynn of Marble, Colorado, was the highest lady in 6:18:04, which positioned her tenth general.
