Man left unconscious after brutal hate crime in Auburn

A black man is struggling for his life after being severely crushed in a racist assault earlier this month in Auburn.

DaShawn Horne, 26, was attacked on January 20 with a baseball bat by Julian Pailate Tuimauga, charging paperwork allege. Tuimauga shall be arraigned Monday.

“It’s arduous, particularly if you train your youngsters to like and be type to everyone, it doesn’t matter what their race is,” stated LaDonna Horne, DaShawn Horne’s mom.

Horne had spent the night time with Tuimauga’s sister and was ready for a Lyft about 10:30 a.m. when Tuimauga got here outdoors the house and hit Horne twice within the head with an aluminum baseball bat. Horne fell, and Tuimauga continued to beat Horne’s head and physique, in accordance with paperwork.
