Letter: Flag represents freedom — of speech, too

When the president of the USA begins swearing at residents and threatening their livelihood simply due to a protest about how black lives matter, I am unsure he understands the Structure that he has sworn to uphold.

Sure, I’m referring to the NFL gamers who stood with arms linked or took a knee through the enjoying of the nationwide anthem on Sept. 25.

This motion was a press release. No one was killed, there was no canceling of season tickets which were reported and I am prepared to guess that future contracts will embrace a line about standing for the nationwide anthem. I am suggesting a visit to the Structure to recollect who we’re and let individuals protest with out dropping our collective dignity and self-respect.

Our flag represents freedom, of which freedom of speech is paramount.
