House investigators demand details on private emails

WASHINGTON — A prime Home Republican is demanding particulars on using personal emails by a few of President Donald Trump’s closest advisers.

Rep. Trey Gowdy, a South Carolina conservative who chairs the Home Oversight and Authorities Reform Committee, and the highest Democrat on that panel, Rep. Elijah Cummings, cited a current Politico report that Jared Kushner arrange a personal e-mail account after the election to conduct work-associated enterprise.

The New York Occasions is reporting that at the very least six of Trump’s closest advisers, together with Kushner, Steve Bannon and Reince Priebus, used personal e-mail to debate White Home issues.

Gowdy and Cummings say in letters to the White Home and State Division Monday their committee needs to make use of its “investigative assets to stop and deter misuse of personal types of written communication.”
