TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Two manatees have been stranded after Hurricane Irma sucked water out of Sarasota Bay, in Florida’s Manatee County.

A number of individuals posted photographs Sunday of the mammals on Fb, hoping rescue staff or wildlife officers would reply. Michael Sechler posted that the animals have been far too large to be lifted, so the rescuers gave them water.

Marcelo Clavijo posted that a group of individuals ultimately loaded the manatees onto tarps and have been capable of drag them to deeper water.
