Fort Morris hosts free colonial Christmas celebration


Musket blasts and a bonfire will spotlight Fort Morris State Historic Website’s annual Colonial Christmas observance Dec. 9 from 5 till eight p.m.

Volunteers and interpreters in historic apparel will hearth the Christmas weapons as a vacation salute and Jamie Keena will carry out Colonial Christmas music.

A bonfire might be lit at twilight and a xmas log tossed on later to burn through the telling of the Christmas story, caroling and Colonial refreshments.

Everybody can be invited to hitch the dancing that may shut out the celebration.

The town of Flemington and the Associates of Fort Morris are sponsoring the free observance.

Fort Morris is at 2559 Fort Morris Street seven miles east of Exit seventy six off Interstate ninety five.
