Former Concordia graduate Roxana Saberi lands new role with CBS News


Saberi, forty, who has served as a contract correspondent for CBS Information since 2016, has taken on a brand new position as a London-based mostly correspondent and can report for all CBS Information platforms.

In 2009, whereas writing a guide about Iran, Saberi was arrested and held for one hundred days in Tehran’s Evin Jail on a false cost of spying for the CIA. Following a world marketing campaign for her launch, she returned to the USA and wrote the ebook “Between Two Worlds: My Life and Captivity in Iran.”

Saberi was born in Belleville, New Jersey and moved together with her household to Fargo when she was six months previous.

Saberi graduated from Fargo North Excessive Faculty in 1994 and Concordia School in 1997, incomes levels in Communication and French.

Saberi was topped Miss North Dakota in 1997 and was among the many prime ten finalists in Miss America in 1998.
