MOBILE, Ala. (AP) – Forecasters have issued a flash flood look ahead to southwestern Alabama as Harvey begins what’s anticipated to be a sluggish trek away from Texas.
The Nationwide Climate Service says four inches to six inches of rain are potential from midday Tuesday by way of Thursday night, and that would deliver flooding.
The watch space consists of the western Florida Panhandle and coastal Mississippi.
Forecasters say Harvey will stay a tropical storm because it strikes inland and takes a northeastward monitor. They are saying northern Alabama might obtain rain and thunderstorms related to the system later within the week.
