Members of the Duluth Police Division, together with Chief Mike Tusken, are negotiating with three protesters locked onto a door and the gate in an effort to finish the protest.
A number of different protesters, calling themselves water protectors, crammed the hallway off Superior Road on the Wells Fargo constructing, demanding the financial institution divest its monetary pursuits in fossil fuels.
Protesters and financial institution staff on the opposite aspect of the gate engaged in some tense verbal encounters. A number of individuals did banking with staff by means of the gate.
Shortly after midday, firefighters have been referred to as in to chop the bike lock one man used to lock his neck to the safety gate.
Three arrests have been made.
