The Civic Orchestra of Jacksonville hosts its free second season premiere live performance at 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, at St. John’s Cathedral at 256 E. Church St.
The volunteer forty-piece classical music orchestra is led by conductor Marguerite Richardson, containing newbie and professional musicians who volunteer their time to rehearse and carry out free live shows for the group. A reception will comply with the live performance.
The Civic Orchestra additionally hosts ”An Orchestration of Meals, Wine and Music” fundraiser from 6 to eight p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, at Riverside Liquors at 1251 King St. Tickets are $seventy five plus charges, all funds raised help the Civic Orchestra of Jacksonville.
