Catawba College professor to serve on state wildlife commission

Dr. Joe Poston, an Affiliate Professor of Biology at Catawba School, has been appointed by the N.C. Wildlife Assets Fee as an At-Giant Conservation Stakeholder Affiliate on the Nongame Wildlife Advisory Committee.
Poston’s appointment is for 3 years and can expire on June 30, 2020.
Poston attended his first assembly as a member of the Nongame Wildlife Advisory Committee on August 10 on the Wildlife Assets Fee headquarters in Raleigh.
Poston, who earned his Ph.D. in Ecology from the UNC Chapel Hill, is fascinated with Animal Conduct, Ornithology, and Ecology. He joined the school at Catawba in 2000, serving first as a Visiting Assistant Professor within the Biology Division, earlier than shifting to a tenure monitor school place.
