Ben Ferguson, Kent Callister of Bend qualify for halfpipe final


PORTLAND, Ore. — Two snowboarders from Bend, Oregon, certified for the Olympics halfpipe last.

Ben Ferguson and Kent Callister each completed within the prime 12 out of 29 males.

Ferguson, representing Workforce USA, scored a ninety one on his first run, placing him simply within the remaining. He scored an 89.seventy five on his second run. The highest rating of two runs counts in qualifying.

That is Ferguson’s first journey to the Olympics.

American favourite Shaun White additionally certified with a rating of ninety eight.50.

Kent Callister, representing Australia, completed twelfth in qualifying to earn the final spot within the last. His greatest rating was seventy seven.

Callister’s household moved to Bend in 2005. This was his second journey to the Olympics.
