ASD cancels after-school activities as police warn of slick roads


The Anchorage Faculty District has canceled all after-faculty actions set for Thursday due to “deteriorating climate and street circumstances.”

Freezing rain is inflicting harmful driving circumstances, in line with the Anchorage Police Division.

“The Seward Freeway is EXTREMELY slick across the Potter Scales. Please take it sluggish whereas driving,” police stated in an alert.

A winter climate advisory from the Nationwide Climate Service is in impact till 10 p.m. Thursday. Ice accumulation of about one-tenth of an inch is predicted.
