Andrews is used to flooding at his Brookside Place residence.
This time overflow from the Mohawk River and Alplaus Creek froze and shaped chunks of ice throughout his property, and blocked his driveway.

“When it floods down right here over my head, my electrical energy, water, every little thing stays on so I’m good. The hearth division retains checking on me down right here, ‘are you good’ I say, yeah I’m good.”
Andrews has lived right here for 20 years.
He prepares for winter months prematurely studying one thing new every time.
On Saturday, water coated the fifth step to his porch.

If temperatures heat up and extra rain falls, Andrews says he’ll get flooded once more.
To Andrews, that is all value summers on the river.
“It’s good down right here. I’ll put up with this for what I’ve within the fall and the summer time. It’s lovely down right here.”
Andrews is bringing in an excavator to interrupt up all of those chunks of ice.
