Alabama hospital placed on partial lockdown after chase

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) – An Alabama hospital is on partial lockdown as police attempt to apprehend a probably suicidal man who led police on a chase.

Brad Fisher, a spokesman for Tuscaloosa’s DCH Regional Medical Middle, stated Wednesday night that police are trying to take a person into custody outdoors the hospital emergency room.

Fisher says there had been a pursuit and the person had fled into the parking zone and put a gun to his head. Fisher says the north finish of the hospital was positioned on lockdown.

Native media report that a number of cops have been on the scene.

In a press release launched on social media, the town of Tuscaloosa stated police had barricaded a close-by intersection due to an “emergency state of affairs” and requested individuals to keep away from the world.
