3 people charged with hiding suspect during 6-day manhunt

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) – Three individuals are accused of hiding a North Carolina suspect who eluded officers for six days and is believed to have kidnapped a sixty eight-yr-previous man.

Authorities informed native media Saturday that forty-yr-previous Jennifer Hawkins and forty five-yr-previous Franklin Badgero Jr. are charged with harboring Phillip Stroupe II in her Barnardsville residence Wednesday night time. Each are set to seem in courtroom Monday. Warrants are excellent for a 23-yr-previous resident of the Buncombe County house.

The search continues for sixty eight-yr-previous Thomas Bryson of Mills River.

Stroupe was driving Bryson’s truck when street spikes stopped it Thursday. Stroupe was arrested after operating away.

The seek for Stroupe, who faces a number of costs, closed elements of the Pisgah Nationwide Forest for a number of days.

It is unclear if any of the suspects have attorneys.
